Complimentary Wireless

The term, “Complimentary Wireless” is used to describe wireless standards which compliment the “main” cellular technology used in a mobile phone. For example, Bluetooth, GPS and WLAN. Increasingly, leading semiconductor companies are supplying single chip complimentary wireless solutions or supplying the function as part of a System on Chip (SiP) module. Regardless, of which method used the target is to supply a Known Good Solution to the mobile phone manufacturer. One challenge that arises is how to test the IC or module in the design verification stage and in production.
